Sandy Music Academy is a Studio Devoted Entirely to Music Lessons, for Everyone
Our students not only see results as they learn to make music, they have many options for HOW and WHAT they learn. Our curriculum is organized into concept levels – so you can see what your student is learning and navigate a pace that works for you.
Our Success Lies in the Student's Excitement to come to Their Lessons Each Week!
Our instructors have all been University-trained and have countless hours of professional experience. Although we value education and skill, the ultimate assets we ensure our teachers possess is kindness, patience and a fun approach to learning. Our instructors have access to continual training. This provides our students with motivation, variety, up-to-date industry trends and above-standard technique. Sandy Music Academy welcomes a diversity of people and maintains a non-smoking, profanity-free and alcohol-free environment.
Our Concept Works Better Than the Traditional Method of Teaching in Several Ways:
"How Was Your Lesson" Review System
Our lessons are built on a foundation of goals. Most important being, the student's goals for learning music and performance. These student goals are the basis for teacher goals at each lesson, as well as reference, in monthly and quarterly reviews. Utilizing this type of feedback system between student and teacher ensures the best approach and pace for customizing lessons. Our instructors can manufacture lessons to build on the student's strengths and steer clear of strategies and methods that the student doesn't respond to.
We Love to Make it FUN
The more senses used (visual, aural, tactile, etc) in learning, the better understanding of the concepts. We love to engage our students in more than a lecture! Why not have FUN? Using objects, games, riddles and tricks, we hope to nourish a student's lifelong love of music. This makes our program well-rounded.
Layering and Repetition of Core Concepts
Layering and repetition of core concepts makes mastering them easy! We have clear-cut advancement levels for each student to work toward. Concepts are repeated with lesson goals, in addition to method instruction; therefore, the information is layered (repeated) and becomes easy.
